To find which Bluesky starter packs include your account:
1. Visit the TheBlue.social Starter Packs directory.
2. Connect your Bluesky account if you have not already.
3. Click the "Includes me" filter at the top of the page.
4. Browse the starter packs that already recommend your account.
5. Use "Find Mention" beside a pack when you want to find the post where that pack was shared.
This is useful because starter packs are one of Bluesky's main discovery mechanisms. In Bluesky's official starter-pack announcement, Bluesky describes starter packs as a way to recommend users and custom feeds so communities can find each other. Bluesky also notes that starter packs are shared through links and embeds, rather than being fully searchable inside the official app.
If you are already included in relevant starter packs, that is a positive discovery signal: curators in your niche think you belong in that topic. If you are not included yet, search the directory by your topic, find active packs, and engage with the creators naturally. A short, specific request works better than a generic "please add me" message.
You can also use the "Excludes me" filter to find relevant packs that do not include you yet. Prioritize packs with a clear topic, a real description, and a creator who appears active. Inclusion in a focused pack is usually more useful than inclusion in a giant unrelated pack.
TheBlue.social provides a suite of tools to enhance your Bluesky experience, from analytics to post scheduling.
